Participants included smokers, diabetics, cancer survivors, and patients with active periodontitis. Despite the elevated risk factors, no cases of peri-implantitis were reported in either study.

Clinical surveillance and post-market data reflect similar outcomes. The patient required restoration following an extraction due to deep caries. A two-piece Patent^™ Implant was placed using a modified mini-roll flap technique. 4.5 years post-operation, the results remain stable, with healthy soft tissue, preserved marginal bone, and shallow probing depths—comparable to those around a healthy natural tooth (see image below; ^© Dr. Roland Glauser).
